SPECIAL REVENUE FUND <br />PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITY SERVICES PROGRAM <br />Library -Federal Programs -Indirect Funding 15411193 11 <br />To support projects that address challenges faced by libraries across the United States and have the potential to create <br />programs and practices that improve library services nationwide. <br />SERVICE PROGRAM <br />Youth Know: Teen/Young Adult Volunteeers receive instruction in the following areas: <br />A.) Learn about the issues from Community Experts <br />B.) Learn to analyze and research media to separate fact from fiction, <br />C.) Learn about local, national and global initiatives and innovations that target these issues, <br />D.) Learn how to communicate with elected representatives regarding these issues , <br />E.) Learn to Conununicate and inform the public about these issues via workshops <br />F.) Participate in one "Good -for -Community" Service Project <br />G.) Participate in one "Good -for the World" Service Project <br />H.) Fieldtrip to Museum of Tolerance. <br />Instruction and learning will occur via a combination of program, presentation, consultation and other forms of <br />hands-on service learning and fieldtrips. <br />FSIPA <br />
