'1 <br />City of Santa Ana <br />provide a sufficient level of First and Mutual Aid coverage as to meet all of the demands <br />for 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation Service calls within the City of Santa Ana. <br />1.2.3 BLS and ALS Services <br />All Transportation Personnel assigned to perform 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation <br />Services under this Contract, whether under the First Tier Service and Mutual Aid <br />Service, will provide Basic Life Support ("BLS") services and transport patients to medical <br />facilities when required. OCFA, in cooperation with the Transportation Personnel, will <br />provide on -scene Advanced Life Support ("ALS") services; <br />1.2.4 Minimum Qualifications of Transportation Personnel <br />All Transportation Personnel assigned'to perform 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation <br />Service under this Contract, whether under the First Tier Service and Mutual Aid Service, <br />must at all times meet the minimum qualifications as listed in Section 5 of this RFP. <br />1.2.5 Compensation. <br />A. The winning Contractor's bid shall include the cost to provide both the First Tier <br />and Mutual Aid Service. Contractor's sole compensation for providing all of the 9- <br />1-1 Emergency Transportation Services under both the First Tier and Mutual Aid <br />Service will be the amount bid. Contractor will not be entitled to bill City, or OCFA, <br />or any of its customers any additional amount for any services provided under this <br />Contract, unless it is first approved in writing by City of Santa Ana and the OCFA. <br />B. Contractor's bid will include the provision of the Mutual Aid Service to the degree <br />those services are required. Contractor will be solely responsible for <br />compensating the Mutual Aid Provider for any 9-1-1 Emergency Transportation <br />Services it may provide in the City of Santa Ana under this Contract, which <br />compensation will be at the rate set forth in the Mutual Aid Contract or as otherwise <br />required by law. Contractor and the Mutual Aid Provider will not have any recourse <br />against the City of Santa Ana or OCFA to recover for any 9-1-1 Emergency <br />Transportation Services provided under either the First Tier Service or Mutual Aid <br />Service, except as specifically authorized in the Contract.
