Except to the degree that the RFP specifically provides for an <br />exemption, during the term of the Contract, Contractor shall provide <br />sufficient resources such that Contractor is able to respond to 100% of <br />all 911 and other emergency calls in the City of Santa Ana by means of <br />the combined efforts of the First Tier Service and Mutual Aid Service <br />within the response time requirement. <br />4.2.2 Field Supervisor <br />Contractor must have an authorized field supervisor available to the City of <br />Santa Ana and OCFA personnel, either•.by radio or in person, on a•twenty-four (24) <br />hour, seven (7) day per.week.basis during the term of the contract. The Field <br />Supervisor must be assigned and staffed in a separate non -transport unit. <br />4.3 RESPONSE TIMES - <br />4.3.1 General Requirements <br />Contractors must respond to OCFA's requests for emergency ambulance <br />transportation service within the response times set forth in this Section. Response <br />times will be calculated as the actual elapsed time in minutes from the moment the <br />request is received by the Contractor's dispatch center to the time that the <br />Contractor's first ambulance arrives on scene. Where multiple ambulances are <br />dispatched to the same emergency scene, only the response time of the <br />ambulance arriving first'will be counted for purposes of calculating the response <br />time. <br />4.3.2 Response Time Measurement <br />Response times are measured in full minutes, rounded upward.
