These projects have Included <br />several large-scale construction, renovation, and <br />restoration projects at the Laguna Honda Hospital, the <br />War Memorial Veterans Building, the Old Main <br />Library/New Asian Art Museum, the Moscone Center, and <br />the Third and Fourth Street Bridges. Terracon has <br />provided hazardous materials surveys, specification <br />design, bid support services, and abatement monitoring. <br />The following description highlights a key project under <br />this contract, <br />War Memorial Veterans Building <br />Terracon conducted a pre -renovation hazardous <br />materials survey and abatement monitoring at the historic <br />War Memorial Veterans Building located in downtown <br />San Francisco, California. The facility is a six -story <br />building comprising approximately 250,000 square feet of <br />space that was undergoing a seismic retrofit and <br />renovation. <br />During the survey, Terracon teams Identified asbestos - <br />containing materials, lead-based paint, PCB containing <br />window putty, and various universal wastes. Terracon worked with the City's design team to <br />develop an abatement scope of work and bidding documents. During the renovation of the <br />building Terracon monitored the asbestos abatement and lead -hazard control work as well as <br />the removal of PCB containing materials. <br />In addition to the normal monitoring <br />activities Terracon tracked quantities of <br />asbestos materials removed from the <br />building and assisted with change order <br />tracking.
