All meals are delivered <br />to the individual housing units. The food service preparation area has numerous <br />pieces of equipment that are either broken or in other stages of disrepair. Items are <br />repaired as budget allows. The bakery is currently out of service. <br />Plumbing <br />■ The building's plumbing pipes are in need of repair and / or replacement. Note: The <br />City has begun capital investment to address this finding. <br />Vehicle Sallvoort <br />■ The jail's vehicle sallyport is adequate and well maintained. The best <br />elements scored is the building is the structure because the building is primarily constructed of concrete <br />and overall security envelope and supporting system which are rated at 3.0. (See Appendix B: Jail <br />Facility Condition Assessment and Evaluation Report) <br />In order to provide another perspective about the overall adequacy of the size of space and individual <br />functional use areas designed and constructed into the Santa Ana City Jail detention facility, a sampling <br />of comparable California jails included in a database developed by the Board of State and Community <br />Corrections (BSCC) was collected and analyzed.
