Planning Manager <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving Historic Resources Commission Application No. 2017-41 and <br />Historic Register Categorization No. 2017-40 (Exhibit 1). <br />2. Recommend that the City Council authorize the City Manager and Clerk of the Council to <br />execute the attached Mills Act agreement with Dana M. and Terry L. Karges, subject to non - <br />substantive changes approved by the City Manager and City Attorney (Exhibit 2). <br />Request of Applicant <br />Dana M. and Terry L. Karges are requesting approval to designate an existing residence located at <br />2145 North Greenleaf Street to the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties, as well as approval <br />to execute a Mills Act agreement with the City of Santa Ana. <br />Project Location and Site Description <br />The subject property is located on the east side of North Greenleaf Street and consists of a 1,165 - <br />square -foot, Spanish Colonial Revival style residence and detached garage on a 7,501 -square -foot <br />residential lot (Exhibit 3). <br />Analysis of the Issues <br />Historical Listing <br />In March 1999, the City Council approved Ordinance No. NS -2363 establishing the Historic <br />Resources Commission and the Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties.
