Also address integrity) <br /> <br />The M.C. Walker house is architecturally significant as a characteristic example of the Minimal Traditional style. This house <br />was originally constructed in 1941, and was valued at approximately $4,000, according to the original building permit. Roy <br />Russell is listed as the architect of the building, and Horace C. Head was listed as the owner but no records indicate that they <br />actually lived there. The first recorded occupant was M.C. Walker Jr., according to City Directories 1949 - 1950. Mr. Walker <br />was the son of M.C. Walker Sr. who resided on 11611 Skyline Dr. The father and son worked at M.C. Walker and Son; a <br />review of old periodicals found no significant information regarding their business.
