<br />Michael has ten years of experience. His prior
<br />experience includes work as a customer service'
<br />representative and order selector, which included
<br />quality control and safety coordination. Michael
<br />provides special inspection of concrete, masonry,
<br />and fireproofing in accordance with project plans
<br />and specifications, and with regulatory agency
<br />requirements.
<br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE
<br />+ Coachella Public Library, Coachella, CA: Cast -
<br />in -place concrete and framing inspection during
<br />construction of the design/build library project consists
<br />of a one-story, 15,000 SF building. The library features
<br />computer labs, library circulation, study rooms, office
<br />space, group meeting rooms, and lab workshop areas.
<br />+ 1-10 at Jefferson Street Interchange (Local Federal
<br />Aid Project No. STPLN-6966(236) and State Federal
<br />Aid Project No. ACNHPI-010-4(064)E), Indio, CA:
<br />Concrete inspection during construction of the $53
<br />million projectwhich consisted ofthe anew interchange
<br />with standard diamond ramps, loop entrance ramps,
<br />and a new eight lane Jefferson Street overcrossing
<br />over 1-10. Acceleration and decelerations lanes
<br />were constructed on the westbound on -ramp and
<br />eastbound off -ramp, and ramp metering was added
<br />to the on -ramps. 1-10 was widened to accommodate a
<br />future fourth lane. The project increases capacity and
<br />improves traffic operations for the foreseeable future.
<br />+ Hawthorne Municipal Airport North Side
<br />Development, Hawthorne, CA: Cast -in -place
<br />concrete inspection during construction of this $9
<br />million project. The facilities include three new hangars
<br />and parking expansion in support of the on -going
<br />development of 190,000 SF of new hangar space on
<br />the airport's north side.
<br />+ Veterans Memorial Park, Coachella: Concrete
<br />quality control for the $4.7 million rebuilding of the
<br />four -acre park. Features included new landscaping,
<br />shade structures, irrigation system, sidewalks, play
<br />areas, and parking lots. A new amphitheater, arched
<br />gateway, a memorial fountain and gardens contain
<br />monuments and dedication plaques recognizing
<br />area veterans. The construction was funded by a
<br />combination of grant funds, development impact fees,
<br />and a general fund.
<br />+ City of Carlsbad As -Needed Services Contract,
<br />Carlsbad, CA: Cast -in -place concrete inspection
<br />during the widening of El Camino Real.
<br />+ Whittier Narrows Operation Unit, Whittier, CA:
<br />Masonry inspection during construction of a new
<br />combined treated potable water storage tank and
<br />Chlorine Contact (CCT), and treated water pump
<br />station at the existing groundwater treatment plant.
<br />The plant supplies disinfected treated water to
<br />the San Gabriel Valley Water Company potable
<br />water distribution system. The project is under the
<br />jurisdiction of the EPA, Region 9, under Response
<br />Action Contract 3 Full Service (RAC 3 FS).
<br />+ John J. Benoit Detention Center, Indio, CA:
<br />Masonry, reinforced concrete, batch plant, and
<br />fireproofing inspection during construction of a
<br />$330.3 million, 516,000 square -foot Type 11 concrete,
<br />masonry, and steel detention center and a 990 stall
<br />post -tension concrete parking structure adjacent to
<br />the new detention center for the County of Riverside
<br />EDA. The new detention facility, located on 6.5
<br />acres, consists of a three level support building,
<br />with one level underground, which contains a public
<br />lobby, intake/transfer/release area, medical and
<br />dental clinic, administrative space, and the extension
<br />of the underground tunnel that connects to the
<br />existing Larson Justice Center. The housing building
<br />consists of a four-story structure with a total of eight
<br />housing units containing 1,626 beds. Support areas
<br />include classrooms, medical units, interview rooms,
<br />administrative space and storage. The project is
<br />designed to achieve LEED Silver certification, and is
<br />funded by AB 900, state grants, and a county general
<br />fund.
