Relevant Project Experience <br />YEAR COMPLETED: 2016 <br />CLIENT NAME: City of Coachella <br />The project consisted of the $4.7 million rebuilding of the four -acre <br />park. Features included new landscaping, restrooms, shade structures, <br />irrigation system, sidewalks, walking paths, play areas, and parking <br />lots. A new amphitheater/stage, arched gateway, a memorial fountain <br />and gardens contain monuments and dedication plaques recognizing <br />area veterans. The construction was funded by a combination of grant <br />funds, development impact fees, and a general fund. SCST provided <br />materials testing and special/construction inspection of grading, asphalt <br />concrete, compaction testing, shop and field structural steel welding, <br />and concrete quality control. <br />CONTACT PERSON: Gordon Fisher <br />PHONE NUMBER: 760,501.8121 <br />SCST performed a geotechnical investigation for rehabilitation of existing roadway segments at <br />Monterey Road and El Centro Street. Services included markout of core locations, preparation <br />and submittal of traffic control plans to the City, traffic control for fieldwork, and coring of existing <br />pavement and excavation of four exploratory test pits. The borings were logged and samples <br />taken for laboratory testing. Calculations were performed for traffic indices from city provided average daily <br />traffic and pavement structural sections, and a report was prepared with our findings, conclusions, and <br />recommendations for appropriate pavement rehabilitation. <br />YEAR COMPLETED: 2017 <br />CLIENT NAME: Kabbara Engineering <br />CONTACT PERSON: Leah Kabbara <br />PHONE NUMBER: 714.744.9771 <br />SCST performed a geotechnical investigation for the Project Approval and Environmental <br />Documentation (PA/ED) phase of the proposed $120 million project. The improvements will <br />include additional freeway mainline capacity leading to westbound SR-91 connector ramp to <br />the northbound and southbound 1-605, improvements to freeway westbound entrance and exit <br />ramps on SR-91, and operational improvements for the northbound 1-605 at Alondra Boulevard off -ramp. <br />Associated improvements are also anticipated on the arterial streets in the vicinity of the freeway ramp <br />intersections. With site reconnaissance, researching archived resources, and previous experience with similar <br />geologic conditions, SCST prepared a Preliminary Geotechnical Design Report (PGDR) to characterize the <br />pertinent geotechnical conditions at the site and provide recommendations.
