RESUMES <br />THAO LE, EIT <br />ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER I GRANT MANAGEMENT TASK <br />LEADER I CREATIVE CONCEPTS/TRAFFIC CALMING FEATURES <br />SUPPORT <br />KOA I Assistant Engineer <br />Ms. Thao Le is a transportation engineer with eight years of experience <br />In the field of traffic engineering, planning, transportation design, and <br />grant management. Her responsibilities include project management, <br />agency coordination, traffic and, civil design, street improvement plans, <br />signing and striping plans, cost estimation, and specification writing. She <br />Is familiar with performing traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, <br />traffic control plans, and conducting field work for utility research. <br />RELEVANT EXPERIENCE <br />City of Long Beach North-South (Daisy to Myrtle) Bike Boulevard <br />(10 -mile) PS&E Design, Long Beach, CA <br />Lead Project Engineer. KOA designed this 10 -mile bicycle boulevard, <br />which we provided construction assistance for. KOA's work consisted <br />of a range of solutions/design treatments to provide improved bicycle <br />mobility throughout the City. Ms. Le had a lead role in developing the <br />PS&E and helped establish wayfinding signage that would also be used <br />on future bike boulevards. She is the main contact in responding to RFIs <br />and submittals for the ongoing construction of the project. <br />City of Long Beach Delta Avenue Bike Boulevard, Long Beach, CA <br />Project Manager. The City secured grant funding to construct a 3 -mile <br />bike boulevard corridor that would traverse over the Port of Long Beach, <br />City of Long Beach, and Caltrans right-of-way. KOA is designing multi - <br />class bike facilities along the corridor, in addition to Implementing <br />traffic calming and safety measures. KOA is evaluating supplemental <br />treatments. Ms. Le's duties include leading the PS&E effort, <br />coordinating with multiple City departments in identifying appropriate <br />treatments, and managing the ATP grant for the project <br />City of Long Beach Broadway and 3rd Street Cycle Track <br />Improvements PS&E Design, Long Beach, CA <br />Lead Project Engineer. After two years of implementing cycle tracks as <br />a demonstration project, KOA redesigned the cycle track for permanent <br />implementation. Phase I of the project provided conceptual redesigns <br />by focusing on balancing vehicle traffic, bicycle activities, pedestrian <br />activities, and on -street parking. This resulted in the approval of a one- <br />way cycle track with raised bus islands that KOA designed as part of <br />Phase IL Much coordination was required to complete the design.
