Mr. Okitsu has <br />BS, Civil Engineering, California <br />extensive experience in transportation planning and traffic design over a <br />State University, Los Angeles, <br />wide variety of highway, transit way, and bikeway projects. This includes <br />CA <br />designs for traffic signals, street lighting, signing & striping, worksite <br />traffic control. The KOA team helped POLB design their first bike <br />Professional Engineer, <br />path, which will run adjacent to various tourist attractions. A combination <br />Traffic, CA #1406 <br />of bike lane types; innovative bike facilities; landscaping; wayfinding <br />signs; and various other amenities will be provided for pedestrians and <br />Professional Engineer, <br />bicyclists along the south shore ocean -front area. <br />Civil, CA #52655 <br />Pasadena Bicycle Transportation Plan, Pasadena, CA <br />Professional Traffic Operations <br />Task Manager. The City of Pasadena had prepared a draft bicycle <br />Engineer (PTOE) <br />transportation plan that featured conventional Class II bike lanes and <br />Class III bike routes throughout their city, but residents and City Council <br />Professional Transportation <br />members requested that higher-level bikeway facilities be considered. <br />Planner (PTP) <br />KOA Corporation performed a bikeway analysis and feasibility <br />project that included bikeway concepts for 28 miles of separated <br />PROFESSIONAL <br />bike lanes, or cycle tracks, and 10 miles of bicycle boulevards. Mr. <br />AFFILIATIONS <br />Okitsu prepared designs of the separated bike lanes and led the <br />Institute of Transportation <br />design of the bike boulevard concepts. The recommended bikeways <br />Engineers, International Director <br />were analyzed for traffic and parking impacts. Cost estimates were <br />generated for the project alternatives. Mr. Okitsu made a presentation <br />Registered Traffic Engineers of <br />of the bike boulevard recommendations at a public workshop and city <br />America, Founder and President <br />commissioners meeting.
