Provide information about the following workshops and how or when the workshops will <br />be provided to youth in the program: <br />Workshops will be presented in 1 to 2-hour segments and made available to all program <br />participants. The Case Manager will create an ISP with each participant and identify workshops <br />from the monthly calendar of events that will enhance their individual skills and support their <br />progression toward stated performance goals. The following are workshops that will be offered <br />by Project Kinship for program participants: <br />1. Financial Literacy/Budget Management: Project Kinship will offer a series of workshops <br />on personal financial management skills, including topics such as budgeting, banking, <br />savings, credit, loans, identity theft, and vehicle purchase. <br />2. Entrepreneur Skills Tralning: This workshop will focus on the key elements of a business <br />plan, including value proposition and innovation, market identification, competitive <br />strategy, and financial value creation, Participants will gain insight on how to create <br />their own business plan and how to prepare a pitch to potential investors. <br />3, Labor Market Information: In this interactive workshop, facilitators will demonstrate <br />several online tools that will give participants up-to-date labor market information and <br />data. Thesetools offer valuable insight into wage, industry, and hiring trends. <br />Participants will also learn internet navigation and content consumption skills. <br />4. Family Planning: Participants will participate in varies workshops covering topics such as <br />healthy relationships, setting boundaries, reproductive planning, Sexual Transmitted <br />Infections prevention, birth control options, and parenting skills, <br />S. Worker's Rights/Labor laws: Participants will learn about current labor law, worker's <br />rights, the appropriate agencies to file complaints or grievances with, as well as worker's <br />civil and constitutional rights. <br />6. Analytical Skills at the Workplace: Participants will learn basic analytical skills for the <br />workplace such as problem -solving and communicating by focusing on the most critical <br />information, involving the right people, and code -switching based on the audience. <br />7. Health Resources: Participants will learn of local resources that promote a healthier life <br />style. Participants will also be able to enroll in MediCal and the SNAP food program <br />onsite at Project Kinship, as well as learn how to obtain low-cost health care coverage. <br />25A-141 <br />
