for this contract. Discrepancies and deficiencies in the work shall be corrected by the Contractor <br />immediately. The City expects a high level of service and maintenance. <br />1.8.3 NEW MAINTENANCE AREAS <br />Additional routine maintenance may be added to this contract. Payment for add -on maintenance shall <br />be computed based on specified rates provided by the contractor. <br />1.8.4 DAMAGE REPAIR <br />All damage incurred by the Contractor's operations shall be repaired or replaced in kind and size at the <br />Contractor's expense. <br />Irrigation repairs shall be completed within twenty-four (24) hours using approved materials. <br />Non -irrigation repairs shall be completed within seven (7) working days and shall be repaired using <br />only pre -approved materials. <br />Contractor shall be responsible for repair -related maintenance such as, but not limited to, watering and <br />fertilizing of replaced plant materials until accepted by the City of Santa Ana. <br />1.8.5 VANDALISM <br />Contractor shall immediately report damaged landscaping caused by vandalism or vehicle accidents to <br />the City of Santa Ana. <br />1.8.6 ANNUALS <br />Areas designated for annuals planting shall be rotated on a triannual (three times a year) basis. <br />Appearance of designated areas shall be kept fresh and vigorous at all times. <br />PART If: SCHEDULING OF WORK <br />The Contractor shall accomplish all routine landscape maintenance required under this contract <br />between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The City of Santa Ana may <br />grant, on an individual basis, permission to perform maintenance at other hours. No maintenance <br />functions that generate excess noise, which would cause annoyance to residents of any area, shall <br />be commenced before 8:00 a.m. No Saturday or Sundaywork is to be scheduled without permission <br />from the City of Santa Ana, unless it is an emergency situation. The Contractor shall establish a <br />schedule of routine work to be followed in the performance of this contract. A copy of this schedule <br />shall be provided to the City of Santa Ana prior to the performance of any work required by these <br />specifications, and any changes in scheduling shall be reported in writing to the City of Santa Ana <br />immediately. Routine maintenance Locations shall not be interrupted/not completed as schedule <br />without prior approval of the City of Santa Ana. <br />The Contractor shall conduct the work at all times in a manner which will not interfere with pedestrian <br />traffic on adjacent sidewalks or vehicular traffic on adjacent streets. All work performed under this <br />contract shall be performed in such a manner as to provide maximum safety to the public, to the <br />Contractor, and where applicable, comply with all safety standards required by CAL -OSHA.
