Sec. 14-40. — Flammable Gases and Flammable Cryogenic Fluids (Chapter 58) <br />Chapter 58 Flammable Gases and Flammable Cryogenic Fluids is adopted with the <br />exception of section 5809, in its entirety and with the following amendment: <br />Section 5801.1 Scope is revised as follows: <br />Section 5801.1 Scope. The storage and use of flammable gases and flammable <br />cryogenic fluids shall be in accordance with this chapter, NFPA 2 and NFPA 55. <br />Compressed gases shall also comply with Chapter 53 and cryogenic fluids shall also <br />comply with Chapter 55. Flammable cryogenic fluids shall comply with Section 5806. <br />Hydrogen motor fuel -dispensing stations and repair garages and their associated <br />above -ground hydrogen storage systems shall also be designed, constructed and <br />maintained in accordance with Chapter 23. Mobile fueling of gaseous and liquid <br />hydrogen, compressed natural gas (CNG), and liquefied natural gas (LNG) into the fuel <br />tanks of vehicles is prohibited. <br />Exceptions: <br />1. Gases used as refriaerants in refriaeration systems (see Section <br />6 <br />2. Liquefied petroleum gases and natural gases regulated by Chapter <br />61. <br />3. Fuel -gas systems and appliances regulated under the California <br />Mechanical Code and the California Plumbing Code other than <br />gaseous hydrogen systems and appliances. <br />4. P_yrophoric gases in accordance with Chapter 64. <br />SECTION 29: Section 14-41 is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 14-41. - Referenced standards (Chapter 80). <br />(a) NFPA 13, 2016 Edition, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems is <br />hereby amended as follows: <br />(1) Section 6.7.3 is hereby amended as follows: <br />Ordinance No. NS-XXXX <br />Page 29 of 36 <br />
