ARTICLE XI <br />11.0 EMPLOYEE INSURANCE BENEFITS <br />11.1 Medical Health Insurance <br />A. Health Plans <br />The City contracts with the California Public Employees Retirement System <br />(CalPERS) for the provision of health insurance per the Public Employees' Medical <br />and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA). <br />The City shall make contributions toward the payment of medical health insurance <br />premiums for employees and their eligible dependents enrolled in a medical health <br />insurance plan offered through. CalPERS. <br />The City may choose to offer new medical health plans, other than CaIPERS, if <br />they will provide substantially similar or improved coverage and benefits. <br />B. Contributions <br />1. The City's monthly contribution for medical health insurance shall be based on <br />the plan coverage chosen by the employee, up to the listed maximums: <br />a. Through December 31, 2019 <br />SINGLE (Employee Only) $ 654.00 <br />2-PARTY(Employee+ 1) $1,307.00 <br />FAMILY (Employee+ all dependents) $1,700.00 <br />b. January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020 <br />SINGLE (Employee Only) $ 704.00 <br />2-PARTY (Employee+ 1) $1,357.00 <br />FAMILY (Employee + all dependents) $1,750.00 <br />c. January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021 <br />SINGLE (Employee Only) $ 754.00 <br />2-PARTY (Employee+ 1) $1,407.00 <br />FAMILY (Employee+ all dependents) $1,800.00 <br />d.
