EXHIBIT A COMMUNITY BENEFIT AND SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS PRACTICES A. Local hiring and Sourcing Practices Newtonian is committed to local and inclusive hiring practices by investing in targeted recruitment and job training programs, providing priority candidate roview to Santa Ana resident's for employment positions at the dispensary. Newtonian will participate in local job faits and build partnerships with the City's conum1114 development department to share and offer opportunities for career growth and advancement to residents that utilize the City'sjob search resources. Newtonian will discover local top talent to staff the commercial cannabis business by recruiting students, twenty-one years of age and over, from colleges located in Orange County, such as Santa Ana College, Orange Coast College, University of California, Irvine, and California State Unversity, Fullerton. Additionally, Newtonian will retain the services of local recruitment firms, advertise on locaijob boards and in local newspapers such as the OC Register, and utilize online sites such as Indeed, Linkedin, and Monster, To attract top talent, Newtonian will offer a generous benefits package to all employees, wlrich will include HMO and PPO health insurance plans, paid holidays and paid time off. Newtonian is also committed to sourcing products and services for the dispensary from local Santa Ana Businesses, including Kush Bottles and existing tenants at the property that provide construction materials and services. B. Sustainable Business or Building Practices The property recently underwent over $1 million exterior renovation that included new exterior building paint, all new drought -tolerant landscape and trellises, new parking lot slurry seal and all new exterior LED panting lot and exterior building lighting. i. Conserving Water and Electricity Newtonian will perform quarterly HVAC preventative maintenance service to ensure that all HVAC units are preforming at maximum energy efficiency.
