GENERAL INFORMATION <br />The residential unit in which you currently reside is in an area to be improved by the City of Santa <br />Ana (City), as part of the Warner Avenue Phase 2 Improvement Project. As the project schedule <br />proceeds, it will be necessary for you to move from your dwelling. You will be notified in a timely <br />manner as to the date by which you must move. <br />Please read this information as it will be helpful to you in determining your eligibility and the amount of <br />your relocation benefits you may receive under the federal and/or state law. The City has retained <br />Paragon Partners Ltd. (Paragon) to provide you with relocation assistance and explain the relocation <br />program. Spanish speaking representatives are available. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE TO VACATE YOUR DWELLING. <br />However, if you desire to move sooner than required, you must contact your relocation representative <br />with Paragon so you will not jeopardize any benefits. This is a general informational brochure only, <br />and is not intended to give a detailed description of either the law or regulations pertaining to the City's <br />relocation assistance program. Once the City acquires the property, you may be required to pay rent <br />to the City. Failure to pay rent may reduce any relocation payment that you may be eligible to receive. <br />II. ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING A REPLACEMENT DWELLING <br />The City, through its representatives, will assist you in locating a comparable replacement dwelling by <br />providing referrals to comparable housing units. However, you should actively seek such housing as <br />well. When a desired replacement dwelling has been found, your relocation consultant will inspect the <br />unit and advise you as to whether it meets decent, safe and sanitary housing requirements. <br />54 <br />55B-65 <br />
