OUTREACH <br />PROCESS <br />THRIVE Santa Ana intends to raise <br />the standard of community <br />involvement in planning, <br />neighborhood design, and local <br />governance decisions. <br />In early 2018, THRIVE partnered with <br />community -driven planning researchers <br />Carotid Sar en to and Eru aid o Ra <br />Gonzalez and Santa Ana Budding Healthy <br />Communities (SABHC( and to conduct a <br />neighborhood survey, as part Wit, effort <br />to develop the Walnut Street and Daisy <br />Street parcel. The major objectives of <br />the survey were to engage and involve <br />localresidents, understand the opinions <br />on the benefits associated with project <br />ideasand likelinessto participate, as well <br />as to hear residents' perspectives on the <br />strengths, needs, qualities, and conditions <br />of their neighborhood. This neighborhood <br />survey and outreach process built on <br />over 10 years of participative needs <br />sents, oth er su rveys an d town <br />ha Usthrou ghout Santa An a, throu gh <br />which THRIVE, its community partners <br />and loca Iresidents envision deveopment <br />based on neighborhood neetls, building on <br />bcaltalents.
