CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />Green Policy <br />The City of Santa Ana has along history of imple me ntirg envirormentallyfocused programs. In 2015the <br />❑ty of Santa Ana (City) establis-ed a Climate Action Plan to develop and implement strategies to reduce <br />greerhousegas emissions from City operations and the community. Lardfi Ili ng of solid waste, improper <br />disposal of hazardouswaste, andthe marufacturirg of products cortributeto greenhousegas <br />emissions. The City has implemented many programs and policies to reduce the amount of waste <br />landfi Ile and encourage so urcea-eduction and recycling act iviti es. This Greer Policy documents <br />activities and programs currently in place through the City's operations and facilities and the <br />community, describes programs included in the current solid waste agreement and identifies programs <br />required by state regulation to be included in the new solid waste agreement, and identifies additional <br />environmental programs to be included in the new solid waste agreement as financially feasible. <br />October 16, 2018 <br />Draft, February 11, 2020 8 - 1 City of Santa Ana <br />
