From <br />simple, time -tested forms and procedures to the state-of-the-art in construction management and web - <br />based systems, our team will deliver small and large projects on -time and under budget while keeping <br />the City up to date on a "real-time' basis. In addition to receiving the benefit of our design team's <br />experience, our construction phase personnel can attend pre -construction conferences and regular <br />project meetings, and provide review and approval of submittals, and all other activities required to <br />achieve well -coordinated construction of proposed improvements. <br />Proven Approach to On -Call Contracts <br />Kimley-Horn provides on -call services to public agencies statewide and our staff is organized to <br />address the needs of a wide range of projects —from focused transportation planning studies to <br />complete environmental documents and PS&E packages. We know that being on -call means being <br />available to promptly address agency requests as they arise. Our team understands how to work <br />effectively and efficiently on smaller projects with limited scope and budget, and we can quickly compile <br />an in-house team to meet the needs of any project. <br />Our approach to on -call contracts is based on developing a team -oriented approach to the project <br />review process. Key characteristics that distinguish Kimley-Horn include: <br />• Rapid mobilization of staff for each agency request, including immediate identification of <br />the key personnel and sub -consultants needed for each project. The availability of in-house <br />planning, environmental and engineering staff provides efficiency and consistent quality of the <br />technical analyses. <br />• Ongoing communication and consultation to address issues that arise during the project review <br />process. The collaborative process maintains project progress and results in constructible and user- <br />friendly design and legally -defensible documents. <br />• Commitment of senior level management to the project to provide close coordination with the City, to <br />ensure technical accuracy, and to carefully monitor budget and schedule compliance. <br />• Responsiveness to any significant issues of concern raised by responsible and regulatory agencies <br />and the public. <br />• Flexibility to tailor our approach to meet the specific needs of each project and client. <br />Project Management - Single Point of Contact <br />We have extensive expertise and experience in all facets of municipal projects and are knowledgeable <br />about federal, state, county, and municipal regulations. Kimley-Horn's project manager, Aryo Rad, <br />P.E., QSD1P, will serve as the primary point of contact, and will manage the team through the length <br />of the contract. He has 22 years of municipal engineering experience and has managed several <br />projects with various cities in California. His experience includes design, planning, plan checking, and <br />construction of roadways, transportation facilities, streetscape improvements, and underground utilities <br />(water, sewer, and storm drains). Aryo leads the Kimley-Horn team to provide quality design, planning, <br />and construction support services. He will oversee and review the engineering activities including <br />engineering design, studies, investigations, peer review, surveying, and other related activities. He will <br />be available to City staff to use reasonable professional effort for a timely response to service requests, <br />including questions about budgets, invoices, and schedules. As an experienced project manager with <br />work throughout California, Aryo has been responsible for the preparation of project design and bid <br />documents for a broad range of public agency and private development projects.
