L w FAIRVIEw BRIDGE REPLACEMENT AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS INITIAL STUDY/MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION J' (9TH STREET TO 16TH STREET) PROJECT MAY 2020 SANTA ANAL CALIFORNIA Fairview Street includes sidewalks on both sides of the street, with the exception of the segment on the bridge. Fairview Street does not include any bicycle facilities, such as bicycle lanes. The proposed Project would construct a complete bridge deck with barrier rails, sidewalks, bicycle lanes, a raised median, and lighting to provide safe walkability and bicycle accommodations across the bridge consistent with the goals and policies of the Circulation Element. The Circulation Element also identifies Fairview Street as a planned widening project in Santa Ana. The proposed Project includes replacing the existing four -lane bridge with a new six -lane bridge. Therefore, the proposed Project is consistent with the goals and policies in the Circulation Element and does not conflict with any plans applicable to the Project area and the proposed Project. Therefore, the Project is consistent with any applicable land use plans, policies, or regulations adopted for the purpose of avoiding or mitigating an environmental effect, and no impacts would occur.
