EXHIBIT C <br />to a One -Stop System/AJCC in their new Local Workforce Development Area (LWDA). Reentry <br />navigators will contact the respective One -Stop System/AJCC and provide information to the <br />participant about the One -Stop System/AJCC such as location, hours of operation, contact number, <br />website details, and directions to access the One-Stop/AJCC. <br />AWC, in collaboration with the ORPU, will convene monthly meetings where all partners will <br />come to the table to discuss participant accomplishments or issues, program updates, and <br />upcoming events. Partners will have the opportunity to share best practices and lessons learned <br />with regards to the service models that serve the region's justice involved population. <br />The project will be in the Santa Ana Probation office, Orange County Day Reporting Center, and <br />field offices (North County, West County and South County) as well as youth reporting centers <br />(North Region and Juvenile Hall). <br />B. Assessment and Services <br />Comprehensive and specialized assessments of skill levels and service needs of the supervised <br />population will include diagnostic testing, use of assessment tools; in-depth interviewing and <br />evaluation to identify employment barriers and appropriate employment goals. <br />Assessment will entail an examination of the participant's basic skills, occupational skills, prior <br />work experience, employability interests, aptitudes, supportive service needs, level of commitment <br />to gaining and retaining employment and/or reaching and maintaining economic self-sufficiency <br />as well as any restrictions or special requirements as part of their parole or probation <br />Completed assessment will lead to the development of an individual employment plan identifying <br />the employment goals, appropriate achievement objectives, and appropriate combination of <br />services to achieve the goals, and support services needs to remove barriers to achieving successful <br />outcomes. <br />At a minimum, AWC staff will take into account the participant's: Family situation, Education, <br />Basic educational skill, Prior work experience and skills, Occupational skills, Life circumstances <br />of barriers to participation in training and/or work, Employability (attitude towards work, <br />motivation, work maturity skills, financial resources and needs, Interest, career goals and aptitudes <br />(including non-traditional j obs), Supportive service needs, and Personal employment information <br />relating to the local labor market. <br />C. Career Services <br />AWC will leverage its Business Services team that works out of the respective comprehensive <br />AJCC to assist the Re-entry Navigators and CBO's to identify employers that are known to lure <br />formerly incarcerated individuals while also matching the skill set of the candidate to j ob openings. <br />The Business Service team and CBO partners already have a list of known businesses who are able <br />to hire this population.
