I am submitting a public comment for agenda item 65D in support of the renewal of the <br />Deportation Defense Fund at its current level of $200,000. Please, continue providing protection to Santa Ana <br />residents facing detention and deportation. <br />The plaque at the base of the Statue of Liberty reads: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses <br />yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest -tossed to <br />me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" <br />
