<br /> <br />COMMENTS (NON-AGENDA ITEMS) <br /> <br />Kaylee spoke regarding tenant protection laws and requested council to extend the rent <br />freeze moratorium. <br /> <br />Carla Juarez spoke regarding the in lieu fees paid by developers, extending the rent <br />increase moratorium and expressed support of the Community Land Trust. <br /> <br />Maira Ceja spoke regarding an extension of the rent freeze. <br /> <br />Nathaniel Greenside spoke in support of investment in youth services, rent moratorium, <br />enacting polices to incentivize landlords to follow the law and implementation of an <br />oversight police committee. <br /> <br />Mextli Lopez spoke in support of enacting policies to incentivize landlords to follow the <br />law and extend the rent freeze moratorium. <br /> <br />Olga Rodriguez Lao spoke in support of implementing an oversight police committee. <br /> <br />Carl Benninger welcomed Councilmember Mendoza, thanked police, and spoke in <br />support of open meetings. <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council Daisy Gomez reported out on correspondence received on non- <br />agendized comments. <br /> <br />At 11:35 p.m. Mayor Pro Tem Villegas announced that Mayor Pulido left the meeting. <br /> <br />90A. CITY MANAGER’S COMMENTS <br /> <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge announced opening of City Hall on June 1, 2020 with state <br />mandated safety measures and appointments. <br /> <br />90B.
