Reserve forces called to active duty: the participant exits the program because the <br />participant is a member of the National Guard or other reserve military unit of the <br />armed forces and is called to active duty for at least 90 days. <br />E. Foster care: the participant is in the foster care system as defined in 45 <br />CFR1355.20(a), and exits the program because the participant has moved from the <br />area as part of such a program or system (Youth Participants ONLY). <br />YOUTH SPECIFIC SERVICES <br />Follow Up services do not trigger performance or impact the participation period. Refer <br />to F codes in the Services Chart. Youth Follow Up services may include: <br />• Regular contact with a youth participant's employer, including assistance in <br />addressing work -related problems that arise. <br />• Supportive Services — follow the Support Service Policy <br />• Adult mentoring <br />• Financial Literacy Education <br />• Services that provide labor market and employment information about in - <br />demand industry sectors or occupations available In the local area, such as career <br />awareness, career counseling, and career exploration services; and <br />• Activities that help youth prepare for and transition to postsecondary education and <br />training. <br />• Counseling about the work place. <br />SUPPORT SERVICES PROCESSING <br />1. Case Manager is responsible for: <br />a. Assessing and recording needed services on the ISP form. <br />b. Informing participant of support service policy and the required <br />documentation needed to justify services. <br />c. Referring participant to other supportive services offered outside of PK's <br />program. Describe the method for documenting need and the absence <br />of such services through non-SAWIOA resources. <br />d. Reviewing and approving most reasonable estimates. <br />e. Keeping a log of all supportive services received by each participant with <br />a running total value. <br />
