Flores, Dora
From:
John Olivier <jolivier@fuscoe.com>
Sent:
Tuesday, August 18, 2020 9:16 AM
To:
eComment
Cc:
cesarc@kennedycommission.org
Subject:
Inclusionary Housing - August 18th Council Meeting
Dear City Council,
I am concerned that the city of Santa Ana is considering backing off their position as a leader in providing a variety of
housing options for the community.
Please do the following:
- Maintain the Affordable Housing In Lieu Fee at $15 a square foot
- HOO should be a City wide planning ordinance that applies to housing development. (Proposal limits the ordinance
applicability to ONLY projects requesting an increase in the density permitted by the General Plan)
- HOD should continue to prioritize new affordable housing construction to increase the supply of affordable housing
units in Santa Ana
- HOD Housing funds should only be used to create new affordable housing
Best regards,
John Olivier
North Orange County Resident since 1963
Admirer of Santa Ana's pro housing development approach
