Needle related incidents at the <br />Santa Ana Public Library and SurroundingArea <br />a <br />January to November, 2017 <br />11/09/2017 Thursday 3:55:00 PM <br />1 needle <br />While Officers was posted at information desk, a female patron approached her and advised that there was <br />syringe on the floor in the wornen,s restroom. I found the syringe on the floor in the handicap stall. I took pictures of <br />the syringe and disposed of it properly. <br />11/13/2017 <br />Monday <br />3:30:00 PM 1 needle <br />While posted at circulation desk, afficerlftwas notified by M day porter, that he found a syringe in the <br />men's restroom inside a trash can. <br />11/14/2017 <br />Thesday <br />5:14:00 PM 3 need lea <br />When Officer Gwent to check the men's restroom he saw a transient with three syringes in his <br />hand and a red container containing drug paraphernalia. Upon being discovered, the transient hid the <br />syringes end aggressively confronted OfficerIM Officer 4MM. adiaed 510 OWMand S/O <br />4M for assistance. When the transient saw the other guards he complied and exited the restroom. <br />When he was exiting through the south exit he continued yelling nonsense. He slammed the door as he <br />exited the Library, 10min later he was by the children patio area yelling at 5/0 <br />Oft <br />VM 5/O � told the transient to leave the premises. When Officer and <br />out of the area the transient held a syringe in his hand.
