Adopt an amendment to the City’s Affordable Housing Funds Policies and <br />Procedures, subject to non-substantive changes approved by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido opened the public hearing at 10:40 p.m. <br /> <br />Isuri Ramos spoke in opposition to item 75B. <br /> <br />Jessie Lopez stated that the Housing Opportunity Ordinance is a good thing, <br />however, expressed concern with Item 75B. <br /> <br />Manny Escamilla expressed concern with lack of affordable housing. <br /> <br />Christopher Pardon with Santa Ana Active Streets spoke in opposition to the <br />proposed amendment. <br /> <br />Melissa Palmerin spoke in opposition to Item 75B and expressed concern with lack <br />of affordable housing. <br /> <br />Speaker Delgado spoke in opposition of item 75B and urges council not to make <br />changes to the Housing Opportunity Ordinance. <br /> <br />Tommy spoke in opposition to Item 75B, expressed support for affordable housing <br />and spoke on other topics. <br /> <br />John Hanna with Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters spoke regarding the <br />proposed amendment in Item 75B and use of local trained and skilled workforce. <br /> <br />Ugochi Nicholson spoke in support of affordable housing and expressed opposition <br />in adopting the proposed changes at this time. <br /> <br />Hairo Cortes Director of Chispa spoke in opposition to the proposed amendments <br />in Item 75B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 26 AUGUST 18, 2020 <br /> <br />
