<br /> <br /> <br />Councilmember Mendoza made a substitute motion to continue the item, but died <br />due to a lack of a second. <br /> <br />Councilmember Penaloza spoke regarding mandatory skilled workforce labor. <br /> <br />Councilmember Penaloza spoke regarding an annual review period of the fee. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido spoke and called for the vote. <br /> <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge read the amended motion: <br /> <br />Introduced the first reading of the amendment to the Housing Opportunity <br />Ordinance (HOO) with the two amendments as follows: <br />1) Make it $5 across the board for both new developers and those that are <br />entitled but not permitted, and <br />2) Provide those that are entitled but not permitted a time-period of 12 months <br />as opposed to 6 months to pull permits for those that are already in the pipeline. <br />If they do not permit within 12 months, it will go back to $15. <br /> <br />Councilmember Bacerra expressed support of Councilmember's Solorio request <br />for staff to meet with the labor leaders to consider options. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido in support of adding to the motion for staff to meet with labor leaders <br />and bring back recommendations to council. <br /> <br />Motion to Adopt as amended to introduced the first reading of the amendment to the Housing <br />Opportunity Ordinance (HOO) with the amendments as follows: <br />1) Make it $5 across the board for both new developers and those that are entitled but not <br />permitted, and <br />2) Provide those that are entitled but not permitted a time-period of 12 months as opposed to 6 <br />months to pull permits for those that are already in the pipeline.
