QUICK FACTS <br />Chris Taylor completed the <br />master plan of all the work <br />areas at the main office in <br />Perris CA. The goal for the <br />project was to move 60 plus <br />employees back to the main <br />office from a remote site and <br />plan for future growth for the <br />next 5-10 years. <br />This master plan included: <br />• A complete MP&E <br />evaluation <br />• An ADA assessment <br />• Developing furniture <br />standards <br />• A complete evaluation <br />and layout for all office <br />areas in the main office <br />and all yard offices at the <br />main facility <br />• On line Questionnaires <br />and meetings with all <br />departments to determine <br />future growth and ideal <br />adjacencies <br />• Move management <br />planning <br />• Construction phasing <br />• Cost estimating <br />The final report showed: <br />• We could achieve the <br />future growth plans <br />projected by EMWD <br />without building new <br />facilities and the could sell <br />the call center site. For <br />- The project achieve a <br />more open office plan with <br />more employee amenities. <br />- The transition to a more <br />paperless storage system <br />by the records group help <br />gain additional area <br />- Capturing un-used areas <br />in the building and the <br />yard building to increase <br />usable building areas <br />- More efficient office <br />configurations and <br />areas created additional <br />capacity <br />- Office and work station <br />standards created more <br />consistency between <br />employees and allowed <br />for greater planning <br />efficiencies. <br />- New work environment <br />should attract additional <br />younger future <br />employees <br />
