Relevant Project Experience <br />City of San Clemente <br />City Hall & Civic Center <br />San Clemente, CA <br />Gensler was retained by the City of San <br />Clemente in 2005 to develop programming <br />and facility needs assessment, including <br />construction valuation for their new <br />civic center. Working closely with all <br />departments, Gensler identified current and <br />projected space allocations for the next 10 <br />years. Armed with this information, Gensler <br />evaluated three separate development <br />alternatives: Build -to -Suit Civic Center in <br />the Downtown, Build -to -Suit Civic Center <br />at Existing City Hall Site and Consolidated <br />Adaptive Reuse of an existing Office <br />Facility. After review and recommendations, <br />the City Council gave conceptual approval <br />to the consolidation of three existing City <br />offices into the Community Development <br />facility which at an existing city -owned, <br />three story, 55,000 sf building. Gensler was <br />then retained to provide full interior design <br />services. The City also requested Gensler <br />take a LEED approach. The project was <br />recently approved by the City Council to <br />pursue LEED Cl Silver.
