Cerritos Community Center with Cerritos Gymnasium <br />and Don Knabe Exhibit at Cerritos Park <br />Cerritos, California <br />Gruen designed the 15,936-SF gym and community center, developed <br />the program for the expansion of existing lobby and office areas, as <br />well as to interior/exterior/site upgrades. Phase I included the interior <br />remodeling of four newly -accessible spaces along with a new reception <br />office, expanded central and new exterior storage, conversion of <br />loss storage to a computer classroom, vending alcoves, new multi- <br />purpose room configuration and upgrades, lighting, floor and ceiling <br />finishes, new bleachers, ADA transition ramps, lobby storefront and <br />improvements, and a new exhibit honoring retired 4th District County <br />Supervisor Don Knabe.
