Narrative for - Operating expenses: utilities, repairs, upkeep of our 12 acres and 4 <br />proposed use of historic structures <br />requested funds: <br />- Security: Onsite guards, security camera, motion lights, repairs to <br />fences <br />- New Program Development: Payroll, Contracts, Equipment, <br />Supplies, Staff <br />How will the funds <br />Our organization is the hub of not only Orange County history, we are <br />stimulate economic <br />the center of Santa Ana culture and history. Not only do we promote <br />development for the <br />positive programming for youth and school children, but we are a <br />City of Santa Ana? <br />safe space for the community. We are a popular tourist attraction, <br />which generates revenue. <br />We are also the number one wedding venue in Orange County (per <br />the OC Hot List) three years in a row and named Best Historic Venue <br />by Luxury Travel Magazine (an international publication). We host <br />nearly 100 weddings a year, bringing couples and guests from as far <br />away as Sweden! We partner with local business (Blinking Owl <br />Distillery, Chapter One, and more!) and promote them to our visitors. <br />What are the <br />We will not be able to staff for our virtual programming, meaning we <br />projected impacts if <br />will lose any movement towards our mission and we will dismantle. <br />the funds are not <br />We also will not be able to maintain our historic buildings, nature <br />granted to the <br />trails, gardens, citrus grove, or farm, and we will lose ALL precious <br />organization? <br />pieces of our Santa Ana history we have worked 35 years to save! <br />Honestly, we will disappear and be just another victim of Covid-19, <br />and Santa Ana as a city will lose it's heart of its culture. <br />What is the long term We want to be here for generations to come! We long to continue <br />vision for the sharing the stories of our local ancestors- the City's founders, our <br />Museum in Santa local Tongva friends, our native animals and plants, and we wish to <br />Ana? share this all with our neighbors and visitors. We hope to continue <br />our unique educational programming in person, but we are grateful <br />for this opportunity to expand virtually and reach a larger audience! <br />We want to share Santa Ana history and culture with other museums <br />across the country and even internationally! We want to be a safe <br />space for our youth where they can express themselves in an <br />accepting environment.
