Unapproved minutes will be made available to Commissioners for their <br />review at least 10 business days prior to the next Regular Meeting. <br />B. Special Meetings <br />1. Special Meetings may be called in accordance with Article VII, Section 2, of <br />the Commission's Bylaws. These meetings are hell on the second <br />Wednesday of the month and are usually called to provide additional <br />training requested by Commissioners, conduct officer -involved death (OID) <br />case evaluations, or address other time -sensitive Commission business. <br />When held, Special Meetings will be conducted as prescribed under Section <br />A above. <br />V. COMPLAINT. PROCESS <br />The Community Police Review Commission shall receive, review and investigate <br />allegations of misconduct by sworn police officers of the Riverside Police <br />Department regarding use of excessive force, discrimination or sexual harassment <br />in respect to members of the public, the improper discharge of firearms, illegal <br />search or seizure, false arrest, false reporting, criminal conduct or misconduct. <br />When necessary, the Commission may conduct hearings and subpoena witnesses <br />and records to facilitate the fact-finding process. The Commission shall make <br />recommendations to the City Manager and Police Chief and develop appropriate <br />procedures to implement this policy. <br />A. Complaints <br />1. Where and How to File: <br />Complaints of sworn police officer misconduct may be filed with the <br />Community Police Review Commission or the Riverside Police <br />Department, whether in -person, on-line or by telephone. Complaints of <br />sworn officer misconduct will be reviewed by the Commission.
