PUBLIC HEARING - REGARDING THE PROPOSED FORMATION OF THE <br />SANTA ANA TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT - Community Development <br />Agency Legal Notice published in the Orange County Reporter on September <br />25, October 2 and October 9, 2020 and notices were mailed on September 19, <br />2020. <br /> <br />1. Conduct a public hearing to consider all protests regarding the intention to <br />levy an assessment regarding the proposed formation of the Santa Ana <br />Tourism Marketing District. <br />2. Review any written protests filed prior to the close of the public hearing and <br />determine whether they constitute a majority protest. <br />3. If the City Council determines that no valid majority protest was lodged, adopt <br />a resolution confirming the establishment of the Santa Ana Tourism Marketing <br />District. Adopt resolution. Resolution No. 2020-XXX - A RESOLUTION OF <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DECLARING RESULTS <br />OF MAJORITY PROTEST PROCEEDINGS AND ESTABLISHING THE <br />SANTA ANA TOURISM MARKETING DISTRICT (“SATMD”) <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido opened the public hearing at 9:37 p.m. <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council, Daisy Gomez, reported out on protest received for Item 75B. <br /> <br />City Manager Kristine Ridge provided a brief presentation. <br /> <br />Jonathan Mayor represents Main Place Mall, Chamber of Commerce Board <br />of Directors and Co-Chair of the Economic Development Council for Santa <br />Ana, spoke in support of Item 75B. <br /> <br />Dave Elliot, president of Chamber of Commerce, spoke in support of Item 75B. <br /> <br />Mayor Pulido closed the public hearing at 9:42 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion to Adopt 1.
