It is an international, vendor -neutral certification that <br />recognizes a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot <br />basic networking hardware, protocols and services. CompTIA Security+ validates the knowledge and skills of a professional in the field of <br />security, one of the fastest -growing fields in IT. Security + proves competency in system security, network infrastructure, access control and <br />organizational security. CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) is an international, vendor -neutral cybersecurity certification that <br />applies behavioral analytics to improve the overall state of IT security. CSA+ validates critical knowledge and skills that are required to <br />prevent, detect and combat cybersecurity threats. <br />Prerequisites <br />A High school diploma or equivalency is required. <br />Acquired Skills <br />Students will be able to identify different types of computers, hardware components, manipulate and control Windows desktop, files, and <br />disks, and change system settings. In addition, students will gain an understanding of how software applications work and how to install and <br />configure them. For every devise and process students will have a conceptual and hands on troubleshooting experience. Understanding <br />networking and networking cabling, hubs, switches, routers, bridges, servers, workstations, IP subnetting, WAN/LAN typology, and firewalls. <br />Students will be able to identify fundamental concepts of computer security. - identify security threats. - harden internal systems and services. <br />- harden internetwork devices and services. -secure network communications. - manage public key infrastructure (PKI). - manage <br />certificates. - enforce organizational security policies. - monitor the security infrastructure.
