126 <br />Course_ Descriptions <br />B101: Real Estate The fundamental real estate course covering the basic laws and principles of California <br />Principles real estate, gives understanding, background, and terminology necessary for specialized <br />courses. The course is required of those preparing for the real estate sales agent license <br />examination, and it applies toward the state's elective educational requirements for the <br />broker's examination. Topics include: <br />• History of California Real Estate <br />• Types of Property and Real Estate Contracts <br />• Agency and Disclosure Requirements <br />• Real Estate Financing and Lending Practices and Appraisal Procedures <br />• Deeds, Escrows, Transfer of Ownership, Liens and Encumbrances <br />• Real Estate Mathematics and Taxation <br />• Landlord and Tenant Issues, Real Estate Brokerage and Ethical Issues <br />• Specialized Fields of Real Estate, Subdivisions and Other Public Controls <br />Prerequisite: None <br />50 Hours Lecture <br />5.0 Quarter Credits <br />B102: Real Estate Practice This course reviews the day-to-day operations in real estate roles and brokerages <br />including: listing, prospecting, advertising, financing, sales techniques, escrow, and ethics. <br />The course also applies toward the state's educational requirements for the broker's <br />examination, and it is required of all new real estate brokers.
