142 <br />Course�Descriptions � T -- z <br />GC101: General Building The General Building Contractor Law course includes, but is not limited to, laws and <br />Contractor Law regulations of the State of California, business practices in office practices and finance <br />management, bid preparation and analysis, and contract analysis to provide students with <br />in-depth knowledge in the diversity of construction laws and licensing procedures. Topics <br />include: <br />• Business Practices in office practices and finance management <br />• Bid Preparation, bid analysis, and establishing bid price <br />• Contract analysis, acceptance, and operations <br />• Planning and project management <br />• Compliance on vendors and subcontractors <br />• Employee safety, job site safety, and record keeping <br />• Labor, employment statutes, personnel policies <br />• Laws and regulations of State of California <br />Prerequisite: None <br />GC102: General Building The General Building Contractor Trade course includes the scope of work and code <br />Contractor Trade compliance, cost estimation for materials and labor, identification of design and <br />construction errors, work scheduling warranty and many other topics to ensure that <br />students obtain in-depth knowledge of the diverse topics that exist in the area of <br />construction trade.
