144 <br />The below two language programs are not within LearnetAcademy's scope of accredited programs with the Accrediting <br />Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSQ: <br />Language Department <br />English as Foreign Lah'uage: EFL-Ry.'� a;t"i x'°"•'>- r~ <br />Program Description The EFL program provides intensive English instruction and orientation for international students <br />planning to attend American colleges and universities, as well as individuals pursuing <br />professional training in the U.S. <br />Students who complete the Intermediate or Advanced levels of this program acquire <br />sufficient English and job -related information to successfully begin work or pursue further <br />education or training. The program is designed to provide students with dramatically <br />improved language skills by providing a small student -to -teacher ratio and a standardized, <br />intensive, comprehensive, structure -based curriculum. All courses are conducted entirely in <br />English. <br />Diploma of Completion Students who complete their curriculum objectives within the maximum timeframe are <br />eligible to graduate. Contained within those 240 hours are <br />approximately 199 teacher contact hours, 4 hours of educational field trips, 12 hours of testing, 1 hour of <br />orientation, and 24 hours of utilization of the language laboratory/media center. Social events, which promote <br />and affirm student culture, may be held during or outside of normal course hours.
