absolute discretion, whether to reduce Student's obligation to the <br />School for the Applicable Quarter Cost. If, at the time Student <br />withdraws or is terminated from the School, the School has <br />received any monies for tuition, or Supplies from or on behalf of <br />Student in excess of Student's obligation therefore as provided In <br />this Refund section, the School will refund such excess to the <br />appropriate party (ies) as specified below. <br />If Student withdraws or is terminated from the School, Student <br />and/or his or her parents) may be Ineligible under federal law to <br />use some or all of any federal student financial aid for which <br />Student and/or parent(s) applied. School will refund any <br />government or federal financial aid funds in accordance with <br />current federal laws and regulations. if Student and/or his or her <br />parent(s) are ineligible under federal law to use some or all of any <br />federal student financial aid: <br />a) Remitted to the School to satisfy Student's obligation for <br />tuition and Supplies, (1) federal law requires the School to <br />return to the appropriate party lies) such unusable aid, (2) <br />the School with advise Student of the amount of such <br />unusable aid returned by the School, and (3) Student will be <br />liable for, and immediately pay the School in full, an amount <br />equal to such unusable aid; or <br />b) Received by Student and/or his or her parent(s) and not <br />remitted to the School, (1) federal law requires Student <br />and/or his or her parent(s) to repay to the appropriate party <br />(les) such unusable aid and (2) the School will advise Student <br />and/or his or her parents) of the amount of such unusable <br />aid. <br />Any refund and return or repayment of unusable federal student <br />financial aid required under this Refund section will be paid first <br />to eliminate any outstanding balances for any federal student <br />financial aid received by or with respect to Student In the <br />following order and priority (unless otherwise required under <br />applicable law) and within the time period prescribed by law: (1) <br />Federal SLS Loans; (2) unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans;(3) <br />subsidized Federal Stafford Loans;(4) Federal PLUS Loans;(5) <br />unsubsidized Federal Direct Stafford Loans; (6) subsidized Federal <br />Direct Stafford Loans; (7) Federal Direct PLUS Loans; (8) Federal <br />Perkins Loans; (9) Federal Pell Grants; (10) Federal SEOG Program <br />aid; (11) other programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher <br />Education Act of 1965, as amended (except for the Federal Work <br />Study Program); and (12) other federal, state, private or <br />institutional student financial assistance. The School will pay <br />Student any refund remaining after all outstanding balances <br />specified in the immediate preceding sentence are eliminated <br />within 30 days of Student's withdrawal or termination date. <br />If the Student is eligible for a loan guaranteed by the federal or <br />state government and the Student defaults on the loan, both of <br />the following may occur: (1) the federal or state government or a <br />loan guarantee agency may take action against the student, <br />including applying any income tax refund to which the person is <br />entitled to reduce the balance owed on the loan, and (2) the <br />Student may not be eligible for any other federal student financial <br />aid at another institution or other government assistance until the <br />loan is repaid. <br />Financial Aid <br />REFUND EXAMPLE <br />TEXTBOOK, SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENTS <br />Student can purchase all books, equipment and supplies <br />(collectively "Supplies") required for their program at the <br />beginning of their enrollment. If Student chooses this option, then <br />the following rules apply: <br />• Student has to purchase all Supplies required for their <br />program specified at the beginning of their enrollment. <br />Student cannot pick and choose which Supplies they do not <br />want to purchase. <br />Students who receive Transfer Credit will have the Supplies <br />costs for the courses) they are receiving transfer credit <br />removed from the total Supplies cost. The Supplies costs for <br />the transfer credit counsels) are determined at the time of <br />enrollment and are final. <br />Student cannot return Supplies and they cannot receive <br />refunds after receiving the Supplies. <br />Students will not be charged for any additional Supplies <br />added to their curriculum. In conjunction, students will not <br />be refunded for any Supplies removed from the curriculum. <br />The payment for the Supplies will be disbursed evenly in <br />quarters throughout the time of the students' enrollment <br />and integrated into their financial aid funding package. <br />Payment for the quarter's Supplies is due at the time the <br />students' enrollment is verified. <br />• Students will receive Supplies for the course after the first <br />day of the course and only if they are in good financial <br />standing with the School. Students may not receive Supplies <br />for a course prior to the course start date unless approved <br />by the school. <br />Student can purchase Supplies directly from the school or from <br />other sources. If student purchases Supplies from the school they <br />will be charged for the cost of the Supplies at the time of <br />purchase.
