Pole Climbing and Ladder Saf <br />Educational Objective <br />The program is highly intensive and will train participants how to safely and effectively ascend and descend <br />wooden poles using pole climbing gaffs and associated equipment. The pole climbing technique that will <br />be taught is the "3-point contact free hand method." Students will also learn how to use ladders on the <br />pole and at mid -span using the appropriate ladder securing equipment and will complete exercises using <br />construction tools and equipment. Climbers will adhere to all safety practices, and students are advised <br />that the training is physically demanding.
