MEMORANDUM <br />To: Nabil Saba, Executive Director Date: 05/18/2021 <br />Public Works Agency <br />Gregory Hoang, Management Analyst <br />From: Public Works Agency <br />Subject: Fleet Solutions GPS Agreement <br />On November 19, 2019, the City Council approved a one-year agreement, with Fleet Solutions to <br />provide Items ("GPS", "Equipment", and "Device(s)"), and Services which will enable The City of <br />Santa Ana Fleet to (a) collect diagnostic and locational information from a motor vehicle using a <br />wireless Internet device that is installed in that vehicle; (b) analyze, deliver and post the information <br />to the vehicle owner's web page within the user web site and notify the vehicle owner and a <br />designated third party by e-mail of certain events or information. The Items and Services are <br />designed to provide Fleet Customers with a broad set of automotive diagnostic data and data <br />derived from locational information for a one-year period beginning November 19, 2019 and <br />expiring November 18, 2020, with provisions for (2) one-year extension exercisable by the City <br />Manager and City Attorney. <br />The agreement above expired on November 18, 2020 without extension. Staff is continuing to work <br />with Fleet Solutions and requests to establish an agreement between Fleet Solutions, LLC, and <br />the City of Santa Ana beginning May 1, 2021 and expiring April 30, 2022, with provisions for (2) <br />one-year extension exercisable by the City Manager and City Attorney. The new agreement <br />includes invoices for services rendered since November 19, 2020 through April 30, 2021. COI <br />insurance is not required per City Attorney Office. <br />Please let me know if you have any questions. <br />
