Class Size <br />Maximum 10 trainees <br />Estimated Schedule of Total Charges for the Entire Educational Program <br />Tuition for the program is charged for an 5 week time period. <br />The following approximate cost applies to programs paid for by the student: <br />Applicatiori Fee: $ 50.00 <br />Tuition: $ 699.00 <br />(Includes $100.00 non-refundable Registration Fee) <br />Books: $ 150.00 <br />Tooling and Supplies: 100.00 <br />Total Cost for a Period of Attendance: $ 999.00 <br />For schedule call Marcie Correa, Director of Retraining (562) 404-4295 ext. 131, <br />40-Hour Level II Wire EDM <br />Program Scope and Objectives <br />This course is designed to provide the experienced user the knowledge and foundation <br />to optimize the performance of their WEDM with advanced machining concepts and <br />common program difficulties. The class will be centered on the following integrated <br />areas: <br />• Demonstrate several optimization strategies <br />• Demonstrate better understanding of various circuits and machine <br />functions <br />• Demonstrate technology manipulations <br />• Demonstrate how to compensate for moving parts during the cut <br />• Demonstrate how to adjust and stabilize a burn <br />• Demonstrate techniques to correct straightness during skimming <br />• Demonstrate calculations of: maximum angles, smooth taper settings and <br />adjustments for different degrees of taper <br />Program Hours —Program Sequence <br />16 hours lecture + 24 hours lab = 40 hours <br />Program Length <br />Classes are 8 hours on Saturdays for 5 weeks, a total of 40 hours of training or <br />4.0 hours two nights per week for 5 weeks, a total of 40 hours of training. <br />Class Size <br />Maximum 10 trainees <br />Registration information: Santa Fe Springs (Main Campus) 562.921.3722 -Visit our Web site: www,trainingcenters.org <br />
