EXHIBIT 2 <br />FIRSTAMENDMENT T'O EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING; BETWEEN THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND <br />TLIF:: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />(24 CFR Parts 91 and 576) <br />THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE, EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT <br />MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING is entered into this 4"' clay of May, 2021, by and between the <br />City of Santa Ana, a charter- city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"), and the <br />Santa Ana Police Department ("Subrecipient"). <br />RECITALS <br />A. On July 1, 2020, the City entered into an Emergency Solutions Grant Memorandum o1' <br />Understanding with the Santa Ana Police Department to provide Emergency Funds from the <br />United States Depanment of Housing and urban Development (11UD) to be used in the <br />operation of an emergency solution program for the homeless or at risk of homelessness of the <br />City of Santa Ana ("said Agreement"). <br />B. In an effort to provide additional housing assistance activities to serve Santa Ana residents <br />experiencing homelessness, $7,954 will be reallocated to the Santa Ana Police Department <br />1-1EART program. <br />C. In accordance with the tents and conditions of said Agreement, the parties desire to amend to <br />increase funds to the Subrecipient, which need to be spent by June 30, 2021. <br />NOW THF;REFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the <br />terns and conditions of said Agreement, except as herein modified, the panics agree as follows: <br />1. Paragraph 5, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by $7,954 in additional <br />Data Collection and Outreach and Engagement Services. The new total sum shall be <br />increased from 551,880 to an amount not to exceed $59,834 in grant funding. <br />2. Section I, subsection A, shall be amended to add the specific tasks required of the new funds <br />as depicted in Subrecipicnt's Scope of Services attached hereto as Exhibit A and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br />3. Section III, shall be amended to increase funding to Subrecipient by $7,954, for a total sum <br />not to exceed $59,834_ Subrecipient's Budget for these new fiends is attached hereto as <br />Exhibit B and incorporated herein by reference. <br />4. Except as hereinabove modified, the tens and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged <br />and in full force and effect. <br />City Council 14 — 87 5/4/2021 <br />
