<br />Administration Building, Pier E-Port of Long Beach, CA
<br />Inspector. Mr. Sobek was the Inspector for construction materials testing, lead construction
<br />services and selective deputy inspection services for the 2-story, steel -framed office building
<br />with rooftop terrace as part of the Phase 3, Pier E, Middle Harbor upgrades. Testing and
<br />inspection services include review of existing plans and specifications, Lhe geoLechnical report,
<br />quality managemrnt plan, attend quality management meetings with contractors, Port of
<br />Long Beach and construction managers.
<br />Gerald Desmond Bridge Replacement- Port of Long Beach, CA
<br />Inspector: Mr. Sobek was the Inspector for replacement of the existing bridge structure.
<br />Sampling and testing were performed for rebar welded hoops, couplers, and reinforcing bars
<br />during construction of the foundations for the new bridge.
<br />1-605/I1-10 Connector- Caltrans, El Monte, CA
<br />Inspector: Mr. Sobek was the Inspector for flyover connector from southbound I-60S to the
<br />eastbound 1-10 for Caltrans. The proposed fly-nver direct connector (snuthhnund I-6n5 to
<br />eastbound 1-10) would replace the existing shared at -grade connector. The project took 2
<br />years to complete.
<br />Alondra Park Pool/Skate Park- Los Angeles County, CA
<br />Inspector: Mr. Sobek was the Inspector for the construction of the Pool and Skate Park at
<br />Alondra Park near Lawndale. The new pool is 25 meters by 25 meters in plan dimension and
<br />the skate park is 14,000 square feet.
<br />1-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening- Caltrans, Los Angeles, CA
<br />Inspector: Mr. Sobek was the Inspector for the addition of a 10-mile HOV lane and other
<br />improvements including ramps, bridges, and soundwalls on the San Diego Freeway (1-405) and
<br />widening lanes from Lhe SanLa Monica Freeway (1-10) Lo Lhe Ventura Freeway (U.S. 101). The
<br />widening project included the reconstruction of 3 bridges, 18 miles of retaining walls and
<br />soundwalls, and the realignment of 20 on and off ramps. The project took 5 years to
<br />complete.
