EXHIBIT A <br />Appendix <br />ATTACHMENT 1 <br />SCOFF OF WORK <br />I411116 Cln M01111M.M <br />REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS <br />FOR <br />TESTING AND SPECIAL INSPECTION SERVICES <br />RFP NO. 20-111 <br />INTRODUCTION/BACKGROUND <br />L,nde' the City of Santa's Capital Improvement Program, a number of construction projects will <br />take place in the next few years. l'l)ese projects include street pavement, Traffic signals, <br />underground utilities, buildings, bridges and park facility improvements- The total value of <br />construction is estimated to exceed S100 million. <br />In order to maintain high quality of constuction, the City intend,, to retain testing and inspection <br />firms Lo provide quality assurance services tin- those projects- The selected firms arc expected to <br />provide testing and inspections for construction activities involving grading, soils, base material, <br />concrete, masonry, asphalt concrete, stiucmral steel, reinforcing steel, painting and to provide <br />other quality assurance services when required. <br />The purpose of this REP is to solicit proposals from quality control consulting (inns for the <br />reluired services. The selected consultant is expected to enter iruo art agrecinent with the City to <br />provide services on an as -needed basis. <br />Prime consultant mark-ups for sub -consultant work will not lie allowed - <br />All proposals, plans, drawings, specifications, estimates, grant applications, modeling, studies, <br />presentations, and/or reports will be subject to the final approval and satisfaction of the City- The <br />sCICCLCd Consultants must have Lhe expertise, experience, and demonstrated trsources available to <br />perform the work described in this REP. <br />The City desires to enter- into Agreements with multiplC top-ranking firms for an initial threc.
