UNDERSTANDING OF NEED <br />permits and mitigation measures are in compliance <br />with project documents. <br />Subtask D: Along with special inspections, the <br />project will require material testing. Inspectors will <br />ensure accurate samples are taken in accordance <br />with project documents. The material samples will be <br />transported to our certified laboratory and assigned a <br />project specific bar code for tracking and controlling <br />purposes. According to the RFP, material testing is <br />required for concrete, masonry, asphalt, soils, base <br />materials, reinforcing steel, fireproofing, environmental <br />and non-destructive testing on paint coatings (on - <br />site and fabrication shop). Once material testing is <br />completed, the test results will be provided to the City <br />representative and contractor. <br />RMA GROUP'S SUGGESTIONS TO ENHANCE <br />THE CITY'S OBJECTIVES <br />RMA Group's inspectors and staff are cross -trained <br />and hold rultiple certifications. This allows our staff <br />to dispatch an inspector who is experienced, multi - <br />disciplined, and capable of performing multiple [asks. <br />As a result, we are able to reduce the overall inspection <br />hours resulting in cost and time savings for the City. <br />Additionally, our inspection staff is highly experienced <br />in projects with similar scopes. They utilize their <br />experience to not only verify code compliance but also <br />to assist in anticipating forth coming issues, so that <br />they can be handled in a proactive fashion. <br />Our staff will be readily available to accommodate last- <br />minute requests for testing and inspection services in <br />the field and / or our laboratory. <br />With our laboratory capabilities and large staff of <br />engineers, RMA Group has the proven ability to <br />rapidly respond to the City's requests, complete the <br />requested materials testing and inspection services, <br />and furnish complete reports within strict timetables. <br />We are and will remain available to commence <br />work on your project within 12-hours of notification <br />by authorized City personnel and in an emergency <br />situation can accommodate a request within two to <br />four hours. <br />Additionally, we will maintain an emergency contact <br />list so City personnel will always know who to call in <br />emergency situations. Our depth of knowledgeable <br />personnel together with our dedication to the City's <br />project, make us the ideal candidate for providing the <br />as -needed testing and inspection services. <br />Our professional staff will actively coordinate our <br />services with the City's representatives and / or <br />Inspector regarding scheduling requests, testing <br />turnaround times, results, and interpretations of <br />results. The results of all tests will be reported in the <br />appropriate procedure for the City and will be properly <br />documented and filed in accordance with best industry <br />practice.
