Each member city has a tight to Cast one vote ou mattes pertaining ut <br />Cal Cities policy. <br />2. Designating a City Voting Representative. Yrior to the Annual Conference, each city <br />Council may designatec a voting delegate and up to two alternates; thesc individuals are <br />identified on the Voting Delegate Fonti provided to the Cal Citics Credentials Committee- <br />3- Registering with the Credentials Committee_ The voting delegate, or alternate,, may <br />pick up the city', voting card at the Voting Delegate Desk in the conference regisualion <br />area. Voting, delegates and alternates trust sign in at the Voting Delegate Desk. Here they <br />will receive a special sticker on their nanic badge and thus be admiucd to dtc voting arca at <br />the liusincss Mceting. <br />&. Signing Initiated Resolution Petitions. Only those individuals who are voting delegates <br />(or alternates), and who have picked up their ciry's voting caret by ptoviding a signattttL to <br />the CrodentiaL Committee at the Voting Delegate Desk, may sign petitions to initiate a <br />resolution. <br />S. Voting. To cast the city's vote, a city olliciad trust have in their possession the city', voting <br />chord and be mmstcred with the Crcdcrnials Cutntniuc c. The voting card clay be transictrcd <br />treely between the voting delegate and alternates, but may not be transterred to another city <br />otticial who is neither a voting delegate or alternate. <br />6. Voting Area at Business Meeting. At the Business Mccting, individuals with it voting card <br />will sit in a designated area. Admission will be limitcd to those individuals with a special <br />sticker on their name badge identifying them as a voting delegate or alternate. <br />7- Resolving Disputes- Tn case of dispute, the l-edenlials Connnnitlee will detenTnine the <br />validity of siL'ltattues on petitioned resolutions and the right of a city official to vote at the <br />Business Meeting. <br />City Council 26 — 5 7/6/2021 <br />
