The City Council of the City of Santa Ana is authorized by California <br />Government Code Section 50280 ct seq. (known as the "Mitts Act") to enter into <br />contacts with owners of qualified historical properties to provide for appropriate <br />use, maintenance, rehabilitation and restoration such that these I115tnr IC properties <br />lCtain their historic character and intcurity. <br />B. The Owttcr possesses fie title in and to that ecrtain qualified real propa'ty- <br />togethcr with associated structures and improvcnicnts thcreort, located at 415 <br />West Nineteenth Street, Santa Ana, CA, 92706 and more particularly described <br />in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and <br />hereinafter rClcrr-cd to as the "Historic Property"- <br />Cl- The Historic Property is officially designated on the Santa Ana Register of <br />llistoricnl Properties pursuant to the requirements of Chapter 30 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code. <br />D. City and Owner, for their mnnral benefit, now desire to enter into this Agreement <br />which defines and limils the use and alteration of this Historic Property in order to <br />enhance and maintain its value as a Cultural and historical resource firr Owner- and <br />for the wnumurit-y; to prevent inappropriate alterations to the Histwic Property <br />-aid to ensure that repairs, additions, new building, and other changes are <br />appropri:-rte; and to ensure that rehabilitation and maintenance are carried out in an <br />cxcmplary manncr- <br />City Council 1 17 — 40 7/6/2021 <br />Exhibit 3 <br />
