community members and Promotores, providing the space for Promotores to approach <br />sensitive topics and engage participants in multi -directional conversation to identify <br />concerns, openly ask questions, and create the space for learning from each of the attendees' <br />experiences. Platicas are especially effective for mental health and emotional wellness <br />education as well as with advanced topics in managing chronic disease or other severe <br />illnesses. <br />Organizational Description — Radiate Consulting <br />Radiate Consulting Orange County is a worker -owned and managed cooperative focusing on <br />COVID response, facilitation, and connection to resources. Radiate OC members bring years of <br />experience in community services and rapid response, and are themselves from the communities <br />presently most impacted by COVID-19 in Santa Ana and Anaheim. Radiate OC members were <br />trained by UC Irvine as discussion section facilitators and participants in the Summer 2020 <br />Health Equity Contact Tracing Workshop series, and continue to be coached and trained by <br />members of the OC Health Equity COVID-19 Community -Academic Partnership (OCHEC- <br />CAP). Radiate OC holds many trusted partnerships, including with Cooperacion Santa Ana and <br />UC Irvine in Orange County, and is part of a network of Radiate cooperatives, operating in the <br />California Bay Area and New York. Lastly, as a democratically -run cooperative, Radiate OC <br />shifts power dynamics in the way they work with each other and with our clients; instead of <br />setting out to maximize profits or returns to investors, Radiate puts community benefit first. <br />Project management consulting activities specific to community advisory boards include the <br />following activities: 1) convene, facilitate and participate in a community advisory committee to <br />provide feedback about the direction and progress of projects; 2) facilitate the design of the <br />
